This product is suitable for skaters of all levels. For beginners, a few lessons may be helpful to master the most basic skating techniques (stopping, skating on gentle slopes, learning how to fall without getting hurt, managing turns, etc.).
It is important to note that the product does not have a braking device. To slow down, you can use the technique known as "snowplow": apply pressure to the outer edges of your rollers to reduce your speed. For better comfort, it is also recommended to wear high socks with the Slades rollers.
Roller skating is not recommended for individuals with conditions that may affect their mobility and physical reflexes. For maximum safety, it is advisable to always wear protective gear (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards...) as well as a reflective device.

Upon receipt and before each use of your Slades, it is necessary to check that:
/ Wheels
The wheels are properly tightened (13 mm socket wrench)
/ The nuts
The locking nuts of the truck pivots are well tightened (14 mm wrench)

/ The truck
The trucks are well tightened (14 mm socket wrench or open-end wrench). For your safety and sliding comfort, don't hesitate to adjust the nuts on your chassis.
/ Front stops
The front stops are tightly secured, with a minimum space of 1 cm between the ground and the edge of the stops (22 mm open-end wrench)
To increase the lifespan of the bumpers, we recommend rotating them regularly to ensure they wear evenly. The truck nuts should be inspected to ensure they are always tight. We recommend leaving at least 2 threads protruding below the truck nut. No metal component should move freely when the plate is properly adjusted.
/ Avoid
Be vigilant and look around you. Pay attention to pedestrians and make sure you can stop whenever necessary. Sudden or poorly controlled braking can lead to breakage situations not covered by the warranty.
