SLADES PROTECTIVE GEAR

The Slades 3-pack protective gear is designed to protect the knees, elbows and wrists in case of shocks during the practice of roller skating. Wearing a helmet in addition to the protection pack is recommended.

The knee and elbow pads are slipped on with the protective shell facing outwards with no distinction right/left. The wrist guards are put on with the protective shell at the level of the palms of the hands. When correctly fitted, the logo on the strap must be on the upper part of the hand.

Caution: wearing the 3-pack protective gear limits the severity of the injuries linked to a fall, but does not guarantee their total absence.

Just like our Slades and Flaneurz roller skates, the protections were not designed for field hockey, skateparks or other intensive practices of roller skating.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE

To find out your size, take a tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler. Then measure your knees, elbows and wrists circumference as shown in the illustration below.

Then refer to the size chart below to choose the right size for you. If you are not sure which size to choose, we recommend you choose the next size up, as the protection pads are elastic and the straps are adjustable.

Please note: the measurements shown are those of the product. We recommend that you choose the size closest to your own measurements.

THE SET UP :

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. Do not change the appearance of the protection pads as this could make them unsafe (e.g. add stickers, accessories or paint).
  2. Check to make sure your protection pads are not damaged (e.g. warps, cracks, and condition of straps) before each use.
  3. Replace the protection pads in the event of a fall or serious shock.
  4. Clean your protection pads with soapy water and a soft cloth. Some cleaning products may damage the protection pads.
  5. Leave the protection pads in the open air after each use and store them in a cool, dry place.
  6. Changes in environmental conditions (e.g. temperature) may significantly reduce the performance of the protection pad.
  7. Control your speed; wearing protective gear is not always enough to avoid injury.
  8. The lifespan of the protective gear is 2 years.
