/UNE PASSION POUR LE ROLLER DISCO
/Can you tell us about your passion for roller skating and the disciplines you practice?
I first took classes to become a dancer in London. I started my journey in the world of roller skating in a show called "Starlight Express 2015". Specifically, it's an 80s musical about roller skating. I trained at a roller skating school every day for 4 months, from 9 AM to 6 PM. C'était intensif et insensé à bien des égards. My feet were ruined by blisters, my legs became more muscular than those of bodybuilders, and yet, as surprising as it may seem, it was fun because I didn't never done that before. Roller skating immediately captivated me; I felt like I was flying! I trained on the ramp, in speed skating, and especially in creating roller dance choreography. It was the job of my dreams, so I stayed for a year and a half.
After that, I immediately knew that I wanted to continue roller skating. I went back to London, and I started spending a lot of time at roller disco events. I trained with London skaters in jam skating and improved my roller skills.

/How did you manage to bring this passion into your professional career??
I also trained as a circus artist. I always knew I wanted to make a living by combining roller skating with my circus skills..
I worked to combine my skills in aerial circus and hulahooping to create different choreographies and push beyond my limits. Now, I practice jam skating, roller dance, aerial roller, and I have participated in world roller competitions. hoop, live broadcasts on television, shows in stadiums, cabarets, music videos, or even advertisements. One of my biggest successes is having been in a Sky Mobile advertisement. I also played in a music video for Jason Derulo. It's so amazing to be able to travel because of your passion; you could say that roller skating has changed my life..
I was also able to link my passion to my career by co-creating my business PLAY TONE in 2018. PLAY TONE is an alternative fitness studio. Roller skating, hula hooping, jump rope, stretching, classes, workshops, and events are our specialties. There is something for all ages and levels. Everyone is welcome.
When I'm not performing, I work full-time at PLAY TONE where I teach.

/How did you find out about Flaneurz? What did you like about the concept?
I heard about Flaneurz when I was starting out in roller skating. I knew it was something special. Being an artist, I am a true fashionista, especially when it comes to roller skating, so I have always loved the style that comes from Flaneurz. It gives me the chance to express my personality and change my look whenever I want.
/In your daily life, how do you use your Flaneurz?
My Flaneurz are my evening rollers. I have them customized with light-up wheels and funky lace: they are perfect for my choreography or my travel photos. They follow me everywhere. It’s my ultimate fashion accessory. I even wear my sneakers alone every day.

/How do you see the future of roller skating?
I would like roller skating to be accessible to everyone. Roller skating gives you the opportunity to unleash the child within you, to enjoy yourself, and to have fun. That's why I founded PLAY TONE, to provide the means and encourage everyone to adopt roller skating. Ideally, there should be roller skating paths and not just bike paths!
/Do you want to discuss a topic that is close to your heart?
At PLAY TONE, we are trying to make roller skating accessible to an entire country and beyond. We are going to raise funds to buy, renovate, and equip a traveling disco van. From disco lights to new equipment, to the sound system while passing through the essence. We are preparing for a total transformation! It will be the first venue dedicated to roller disco to travel across the United Kingdom.
Our mission is to travel around the country and empower communities of all ages to help them unleash the children that lie within, through hula hooping, roller skating, jump rope, and many other alternative fitness activities. We decided to hit the road in the summer of 2020. With this van, we will be able to bring PLAY TONE to basketball courts, parks, roller disco parties, or schools that have yet to experience the excitement of PLAY TONE..
PLAY TONE will move mountains.
To follow and participate in the campagne of crowfunding to help spread the roller fever, the campaign will take place from October 12 to November 17, 2019.
