The choice of the origin of the materials used in the composition of Slades roller shoes combines accessibility and innovation.

The shoe, with a French design, is made in Portugal. In order to allow as many people as possible to ride in Slades, the Rolling Parts are assembled in France from French components (mechanical system) and Chinese components (plates, wheels, bearings).

The Slades shoe is made of organic cotton and suede for the upper, thermoplastic rubber for the sole, and stainless steel for the mechanical parts.

• The rolling bases are made of high-impact injected polypropylene plates and 100% recycled ABS plastic frames.

Upon receipt and before each use of a pair of Slades, it is necessary to check that:

Flaneurz does not guarantee the waterproofness of the shoes. This is an area for improvement that we are working on.

All Flaneurz detachable rollers are handmade, one by one in our workshop in Grenoble (Alps - France). Six machines and two hours of work are needed for their production. We are talking about our know-how made in France here.

First of all, make sure that you have accurately reproduced the movements that we invite you to perform in your user guide as well as in the tutorial video Clipping in is often a complicated movement at first, as your mechanical system and grips are new. We encourage you to replicate the movement by making a large left-right twisting motion to perfectly slide your shoe back. You can also try clipping your right shoe onto your left pedal and vice versa, to help break in the system.
